Pat Eddery Racing is now into its sixth year of syndication and since Visionist won and was Group placed in our first year, 2004, we have a proven record of success at home and abroad.
Visionist was not only Pat Eddery Racing’s first winner but Pat’s first as a trainer and the talented son of Orpen was sold to race in Dubai.
The yard passed over £100,000 in prize money in only its second season with Pat at the helm and had 40% in the first four.
We also had Group success with Secret Tune placed in the Queen’s Vase at Royal Ascot.
All the syndicate three and four-year-olds bar one were winners - Alfresco, Cavort, Estimator, Galianna, Garafena, Lapina and Spirit of Adjisa.
Last year's crop of three and four-year-olds were also very successful. From seven individual runners, six won nine races between them - Accolation, Spirit of Adjisa, Buddy Holly, Koraleva Tectona, Penchesco and Choiseau. So who let the side down? Replicator - but he did win as a two-year-old!
Our owners come from all over the country and indeed the world. This is what just a few of them had to say about their experience…
- “Pat Eddery partnerships are ideal – sharing racehorse ownership is fun! No hassle, info when required, winning celebrations (five this year alone!) with your partners and the freedom to see your horse at the stables and on the track. I’m already booked for one of this year’s yearlings – my fifth year with Pat Eddery Racing.”
- Jo Slogrove – Cambridgeshire,
Firesong, Galianna, Alfresco, Replicator & Spring Quartet
- “Having known Pat and Carolyn for years, I’d no hesitation in joining Pat Eddery Racing before eventually buying a horse outright for Pat to train. The syndicates are professionally run and above all for those involved, members are kept informed and interested.”
- Jim McGrath – Channel 4 presenter,
Visionist, Volitio & Castles In The Air
- “In the 18 months since I have been involved in horseracing, I have travelled to at least eleven racecourses, taken friends or family or joined syndicate members at the social days at Musk Hill where the hospitality is renowned and there is such a great family atmosphere.”
- Eunice Scaddan – Buckinghamshire,
Cavort, Alfresco & Private Passion
- “Having been connected with racing since schoolboy days, I happily joined Pat Eddery when he started to syndicate and train racehorses. I have seen his operation grow from strength to strength in a few years. Living 4000 miles away in Barbados is no disadvantage as I am kept informed of activities and given racing advice daily by via e-mails, monthly horse reports and the web site.”
- John Hutson - Barbados,
Karlu & Koraleva Tectona
- “My first four horses all won. Unbelievable! Pat places the horses really well, he had a cracking 2007 and is having another good season this year. The communication is excellent with first class information on your horse and the yard in general and the whole package is excellent value for money.”
- Steve Surridge – Escoffier, Estimator, Galianna, Choiseau, Millway Beach & Songful
-
“My sincere thanks and admiration to Pat, Carolyn, Simon, Julia and the rest of the team at Musk Hill who have given me such a warm welcome into the world of racing. My first horse gave me so much excitement but it was Penchesco who gave me my first ever winner. All the horses at the yard benefit from the dedication, commitment and extra special hands-on care personally provided by Pat and Carolyn 24/7.”
- Julie Harrison – Hampshire,
The Jay Factor & Penchesco
