Pat has ridden for every major trainer in Britain over the last five decades and has built up long term relationships and friendships with many of them over the years.

"We have in this country some of the world's finest trainers. What we have tried to do is select trainers who are not only good with the horses but good with the owners as well. That’s absolutely vital. My problem has been narrowing the list down to half a dozen or so trainers"!

Dual Derby-winning trainer, John Dunlop has been, like Pat, at the top of his profession for five decades. He has trained over 3,000 winners, including 24 European and 10 English Classics and was Champion trainer in 1995. Pat rode for John for some 30 years and they enjoyed great success together at home and abroad. There were many Group winners but Silver Patriarch's St Leger victory in 2000, which was also Pat's 4,000th winner, was probably the highlight.

Trainer of one of the largest strings in the country, Richard Hannon has trained more than 100 winners a season for the past 13 years. Champion trainer in 1992, he has won the 2000 Guineas three times. Outstanding with his 2-y-o's, he has had over 300 juvenile successes in the last five years, more than any other trainer in the country. Richard Hannon Jnr is Assistant Trainer and son-in-law Richard Hughes is a regular rider for the yard.

First Licenced: 1970
Best Horses Trained: Don't Forget Me, Tirol, Lyric Fantasy, Niche, Reel Buddy

Sylvester is relatively new to the training ranks but he is fast making a name for himself. He cut his teeth with Richard Hannon, to whom he was Assistant Trainer from 1992-2000. A Group winner at the first attempt with Gracefully in 2003, Sylvester enjoyed a record season last year. With over £450,000 in prize money, the highlight was Salamanca's win in the £200,000 Newbury sales race.

Stables: Cedar Lodge Stables, Upper Lambourn, Berks
First Licenced: 2000
Best Horses Trained: Gracefully, Don Pele, Salamanca

Brian has been training in his own right in Lambourn for over 10 years, having been Assistant Trainer to Richard Hannon for five years. He had his best ever season in 2003 with over a million pounds earned in domestic and international prize money. Last season saw him finish 14th in the trainers table and another marvellous year was capped by winning the Group One Cheveley Park. Not afraid to campaign his horses abroad, Brian has enjoyed Group success in France, Germany, America and Ireland.

Stables: Newlands Stables, Upper Lambourn, Berks
First Licenced: 1992
Best Horses Trained: Tomba, Bad As I Wanna Be, Romantic Liason, Kaieteur, Magical Romance

Jeremy Noseda has never had any syndicates among his owners but was always a huge admirer of Pat and was delighted to be given the opportunity to train for us. He was a key figure in the Godolphin operation of the '90s and has made a big impact since going alone. Apart from winning Group races such as the Cheveley Park and the Cherry Hinton, he is one of a rare breed - a British trainer who has won a Breeders Cup, which he did with Wilko in the Juvenile last year.

Stables: Shalfleet Stables, Newmarket
First Licenced: 1998
Best Horses Trained: Wannabe Grand, Just James, Balmont, Carry On Katie, Blue Dakota

Formerly a successful National Hunt jockey with over 900 winners, Jamie has made a successful transition to flat trainer in no time at all. He won at Royal Ascot in only his second season and had his first Group won success in the Dewhurst in 2003. He has established a particularly good rapport with 2-y-o's having won over 50 races during the last two seasons, including Visionist, our first ever winner.

Stables: Kinsgdown Stables, Upper Lambourn, Berks
First Licenced: 2000
Best Horses Trained: Irony, Milk It Mick, Visionist, Berkhamsted

A former successful amateur jockey and daughter of dual champion trainer, Guy Harwood, Amanda has established herself as one of the rising stars among the training ranks. Indian Lodge was her first Group 1 winner but with some of the best gallops in Europe combined with a quiet determination to succeed, there will be plenty more to come out of Coombelands.

Stables: Coombelands Racing Stables, Pulborough, W Sussex
First Licenced: 1996
Best Horses Trained: Indian Lodge, Tillerman, Bangalore, Give The Slip, Carnival Dancer
