Pat was the most successful jockey of his generation in
Britain. The 11 times champion won every Classic in
England and Ireland and achieved a record 29 centuries.
He is the second winning-most jockey in English racing
history behind Sir Gordon Richards.
He lives and breathes horses and after 35 years in
the saddle has taken over the reins as a trainer. "I
was very lucky to have had a marvellous career as a
jockey, riding all round the world. If I achieve
as a trainer, half of what I achieved as a jockey,
I'll be very happy".

Derek is our Racing Manager, and plays a key role in attracting new owners to the yard. Working with Pat he ensures all owners have the best experience with Pat Eddery Racing, representing the stable at the racecourse as well as looking after owners at Musk Hill.
As some one who "lives the passion" Derek brings years of experience of racing and was indeed formerly a syndicate owner himself for some 15 years. The highlight was being a 1/12th share owner of Primo Valentino, who won the Middle Park Stakes, ridden by a certain P J J Eddery! |

Claire is our newest team member, and the wife of Racing Manager Derek. Sharing her husband's passion for Horse Racing, she is the Racing Secretary, and provides administrative support for race entries and declarations as well as all the usual secretarial duties for Pat Eddery Racing. As well as working with horses in training and being a former syndicate owner Claire keeps her own ex-racehorse, from Pat's yard, at her home. |

Robert Eddery is the Assistant Trainer here at Musk Hill and comes with a wealth of knowledge from many years experience which will be an asset to Pat Eddery Racing.
Having gained the accolade of Champion Apprentice at the tender age of 16, Robert turned his attention to the management and production of racehorses.
Under the tutelage of Bart Cummings, he spent 2 years in Australia learning about the care of thoroughbreds and subsequently went on to America for 6 months to study in preparation to work for Charles St. George, where he was Head Lad for 8 years.
Robert's next post was at Peter Harris' where he ran Pendley Farm looking after the two year olds for 12 years (1 of these was for Walter Swinburn) and prior to joining us at Musk Hill, Robert also worked as Assistant Trainer to Karl Burke overseeing 110 horses. |
