The Team
Pat Eddery - Trainer
Pat was the most successful jockey of his generation in Britain. The 11 times champion won every Classic in England and Ireland and achieved a record 29 centuries. He lives and breathes horses and after 35 years in the saddle, has taken over the reins as trainer. He trained the group 1 Winner, Hearts of Fire.
"I was very lucky to have had a marvellous career as a jockey, riding all round the world. If I achieve as a trainer, half of what I achieved as a jockey, I'll be very happy".
Emma Owen - Assistant Trainer & Racing Secretary
Having grown up with horses and "being plonked" on horseback as a baby, Emma literally has been riding for all of her life! As well as being Pat's partner and working alongside him as his Assistant Trainer, Emma has been the Champion Lady Rider for Arab Racing many times, as well as the FEI Endurance Champion Rider over 160km. She has ridden 15 winners as an amateur rider, and has done 3 day eventing, endurance and dressage. She has excellent knowledge with horses and has the ability to spot a potential winner.
Herbie Owen - Yard Manager/Head Lad
Herbie has a lifetime experience with horses. He rode as a professional national hunt jockey, and ran his own yard breaking thorough-breds, pre-training racehorses and hunter-liveries. He has trained over 100 winners, in Arab flat-racing and point to points.
Donna Connor - PA to Pat Eddery/Office Manager
With a corporate background and having worked in various countries, Donna is your contact in the office. Her role revolves around the running of the racing office and generally keeping tabs on Pat! You can contact Donna on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
