News

1st May
Just the one winner in April , but what a winner . Desert Recluse won the Queens Prize at Kempton at a price of 25-1.After a two year lay off, due to injury, he is obviously back to his best. He is now entered in the Chester Cup.
 31st March
Good news and bad news.
The arithmetic progression did not work and we did not have three winners in March. But we did have two, the same as in February. Incorporate won at Doncaster on Saturday, our first winner on the grass this year . It would be good to have two winners per month ,for the rest of the year, but competition will start to hot up now. We do have some chances this month as well as some of our more promising maidens coming out soon.
The bad news is that Henry , our Siberian Husky is lost. There is a very good website, www.doglost.co.uk ,if you should lose a dog. Details of Henry can be found on this website.
1st March
Hoonose gave us a quick winning start to the month. The stable has an impressive 25% strike rate for 2013 and owner Emma Owen at 33% must be very pleased.
28th February 2013
Rapid Water won at Kempton today, despite the tv tipsters negative words. After the race they did hold their hands up and complemented the team at PER.A winner a month said the script,so Rapid Water was a day early. Is this a new script with one winner in January, two in February and three in March? We have a few more runners in the next week who could start us on our quest.
2nd February 2013
As below another month, another winner. This time it was Hoonose who won a seller at Lingfield. He was an impressive 6L winner ridden by Joe Fanning. We bought him back for 5,200 guineas.
We have 2 runners for early next week.Aphrodite Spirit at Southwell on Tuesday and Marvelino on Wednesday. We will hear the cheers from Down Under if they are first past the post.
16th Jan 2013
Another month another winner. It was Marvelino this time. After a number of seconds he got his head in front at the winning post.In fact it was in front from the begining to the end.Robert Winston, the winning jockey, advised the drop down to 5f and saw the job through.
It turned out to be a double celebration with Emma celebrating her birthday on the same day.A drive to Lingfield, leading in the winner and a glass of champagne. What more could a girl want!
3rd December
Rapid Water,is a very topical name for the present weather and its effect. The punters did not think so,as his price drifted from 7-1 to 10-1 for the 4.20 at Kempton today. With a 150 yards to go you would not have picked him as the winner, but he did. There were five in with a chance and the commentator called it the most exciting finish of the day. After all the nose/short head seconds it was good to be a nose in front.
 3rd November
Pashan Garh with Emma and Herbie
Pashan Garh with Emma and Herbie
Another second,Pashan Garh at Newmarket today.Beaten by neck at a price of 25-1.We had a brief hope when a stewards' enquiry was called, but we stayed second.Another good run by the Pash.                            19th October
Away the (Geordie) Lad
Stats are not always pointers to the future. In 2012 Pat had no winners from 14 runs by his 2 year olds.Ryan Moore was 0 from 3 for Pat,so Geordie Lad had no chance?Luckily horses do not read and Geordie Lad won at Haydock today.Congrats to Leo Daly and the team at PER.
14th October
Looking at our site activity we still seem to have a set of loyal readers,so we must keep you informed. The end of the season can make it difficult to get horses into races.Everyone is trying to get a result before the horse goes off to the sales.Hopefully we will find some opportunities. In terms of winners it has been a disappointing season, but the following shows, you can  prove anything with figures.Over the last five seasons our percentage winners rate has varied from 14% to 4%(this season). If you look at the percentage of runners that come first or second  then it has been very consistent 22-24%.This year the percentage coming second has been 18%.Hopefully Lady Luck will readdress the balance soon.
 21st September
A winner! We had another second last week,Rapid Water losing by a nose. However today at Brighton,Lutine Charlie, won by a nose. This is one of the new horses at the yard and he was a good third last week in his first race for the yard.Should we rename him Champagne Charlie? He was ridden by Cathy Gannon, who won for us on Kingscombe earlier in the year.
11th September
Apologies for the lack of news lately. This has been due to holidays and lack of news.Hopefully September will see a change of fortune for the yard.
8th August
Two of our two year olds will hopefully make their debuts in a few weeks time. These are the Key of Luck and Excellent Art syndicate fillies.A number of their owners have been down to the yard in the last few weeks to see them on the gallops. If you may be interested why not come down whilst the sun is out and the cherries are looking ripe.
There have been a number of new arrivals at the yard in the last few weeks. As well as four new horses we welcome a new work rider and Henry.More info to follow.
22nd July
Selkie's friend is no friend of ours. The commentator on Racing UK said Pashan Garh would be his bet, rather than the even money favourite. He was right on that one,but unfortunately none of us were aware of the winner,a 40-1 chance having his first run.Another second!
 21st July
One of our horses will be running in a ladies charity race at Goodwood. For further info on this please see the Tricia Ronane section.I am sure Tricia will appreciate any support for the charities.
18th July 2012
We were 50yds away from a winner. Rapid Water was just pipped at the post at Southwell last night. Wreningham finished strongly to give us two third places. Avalon Bay struggled after his long lay off, but hopefully can now be kept busy.

If you can bet on what meetings will be cancelled you should just follow Khazium. His latest entry was at Leicester this week. He is now entered for Windsor on Monday evening. What could possibly happen there?

10th July 2012
If you have any memorabilia or info you want to share then why not add it to our Facebook page.

7th July 2012
Marvelino is entered in the 6.40 at Windsor on Monday. A new experience for some of the owners as they are also involved in another runner, Muskat Link. He is the result of a Breeding Syndicate started by PER over four years ago.

6th July 2012
A fine run by Pashan Garh to take second place, in horrible weather at Doncaster. We are well on the way to beating our record for the season in terms of number of second places.

Pashan Garh
Pashan Garh
Didn't he do well
3rd July 2012
Kingscombe, a winner for us, has now left  to go hurdling. We wish him and Phil Middleton good luck in the future.T he quality of the horses at the yard is improving and we hope the results will start to show this soon.

29th June 2012
We had high hopes for Khazium at Leicester, but being mid-summer the meeting was cancelled due to waterlogging.

27th June 2012
Marvelino is now handicapped at 82 on the all-weather and 75 0n turf. He will now be entered for nursery races and hopefully become a winner in the near future.

Our other syndicate horses are progressing well,p lease look at their individual pages.

Pat Eddery now has a facebook page and we look forward to seeing news from our readers.

We are a bit like the England football team at the moment - trying hard but hitting the bar. Nevaeh was a good second at Chepstow on the 25th June.

20th June 2012
We are starting a new Partnership with a horse called Barnacle. His dam, Bambalarina, has six winners from six runners so the odds for another winner looks good.

We had another two seconds in the last week.Khazium missed the break otherwise the Hill Top Partnership could be celebrating another winner.Pashan Garh,a Safari Lodge in India, and one of our horses did like the soft ground as predicted. Two of his family,Mirza(twice)and Sir Pedro have won in the last month.
